How to Add Contract Number to Cisco Account

Without going into a tirade on how bloody confusing Cisco's website is to navigate, is there a way to look up current SMARTnet contacts associated with one's ID, to review (serial numbers, date of coverage, etc.)? Every time I think I've found a way, it says I need to be a partner.

I have even called Cisco TAC and put in a case to get this info. I can't get it via the web. Only via a partner or via the phone.
Correct. The company you bought your Smartnet contracts from should tell Cisco to assign the contracts to your Cisco username also so you can see them for the purpose of downloads and TAC cases.
If you have access to contracts, you should see them in the Service Contract Center. www.cisco.com/scc (expired link, but it will forward). Go there after you've logged into your Cisco TAC account.
If you don't have access, you'll need to create a ticket to get access to the accounts -- an SCC ticket, not a TAC ticket.
If the contracts were entered by your vendor ( partner) they will have to give the OK to add you.
I feel for you on the Cisco site, they have a mess of links that don't even work in the TAC area. Best bet really is getting in touch with the partner who you got the device(s) from.
Th e vendor has tied it to my Cisco ID, and I can successfully look up by serial number or contract number for a TAC case or downloads, but that doesn't list for me serial numbers (I need to know them already) contract dates, etc; was hoping for this latter part without needing to contact the vendor.
Did you even try the link in my earlier post? I just confirmed that it still works the way I said -- click the link, log into your account, click on the link in the middle of the page, Launch Service Contract Center.
Click on the grey Contracts tab, then Contract Manager. From your list of contracts, click on one of the contract numbers. Now you'll see a link that says Line Items. Now all your serial numbers are listed below.
John2995,
I sure did even try your link!
Not seeing much here:
Since you have already asked your vendor to tie the contracts to your Cisco ID, go into your Cisco ID profile and add the contract numbers in yourself.
After 24 hours, if the contracts do not show up in the Contract Center, then contact TAC and ask them to look into it. When this happens, they will tie the contract number to your Cisco ID once the contract is verified to be yours.
Well then perhaps this does need to turn into a tirade on just how poorly organized their site is.
So I go to my profile, I go to access, I see my contract number already there, I click on contract administrators, it says there are none and to follow a link to find out how. I follow link, click on the link in "SAMT is intended for administrators who manage access for others. If you only need support access for yourself, submit a request through Cisco Profile Manager.," it brings me right back to my profile access page, where I started! Hey, at least it wasn't another dead link! Upside baby!
Sure, once I go through all of this I'll know the correct incantations to get this done, but why does it need to be voodoo in the first place?
You got it now :-)
Profile, add contracts, wait for them to verify the contracts, wait another 24 hours and hope that they show up.
About the time you start to get the hang of it, they change the site up.
Just to note that last post of mine was a bit tongue-in-cheek; I didn't truly have any success because the link to request access brought be right back to the webpage where it says I don't have access and it all starts all over (it took me from A->B->C->A). I was merely jesting that at least it didn't go A->B-C-deadlink.
I've had the contracts on my profile for over a week, so hopefully it would have been verified for now; I can download/open TAC for this contract number so I know it's tied. I sent a message off to our vendor as they'll have some deeper contacts within Cisco to clarify things. Thanks!
